The walls were given a light grey colour to add the sense of age and maturity and on that was added a modern pattern made of clean lines. However the application of this modern pattern was done using a block printing technique, which is very intrinsically Indian. Metallic gold as the colour added to the Indian connect. The imperfections of block prints and the sheen of the gold against the grey were consciously designed to be a part of the wall element.​

The glass panels were treated with the abstract modern forms containing the traditional indian jaali patterns in modern pop colours. The entire design was printed on transparent vinyl, which has a slight blurry-ness in it’s material-texture. We took that to our advantage and cut out the negative spaces which did not have the print and the design, thereby exposing the glass making it entirely see-through. The rest of the portion that contained the print, blurred the glass and hence added a sense of privacy to the space.​
